What Cedarstone Is
44 homes from Consort's Heritage Collection, on a parcel at Post Road and Technology Drive, a couple of minutes from Dardenne Town Square. The community is nearly built out, so what is left is a short list rather than a catalogue.
It is a small community by St. Charles County standards, and that is most of its character. 44 homes is one loop, not a masterplan with phases and a years-long build-out. The Heritage Collection runs from about 1,870 square feet to about 3,546, in ranch, 1.5-story and two-story plans.
When we last checked with Consort directly, in September 2026, it was still selling and a display home had opened. That is a genuine change since this page first went up: there is now something here to walk through.
What It Costs
Consort publishes one starting price for the community rather than a price per plan, so this is what can honestly be said about it.
From the high $400s
Consort's own published starting price for the Heritage Collection at Cedarstone, read September 2026.
A starting price is the cheapest plan, on an ordinary lot, with nothing added. Almost nobody buys that house. Between the lot premium and the upgrades most people decide they want once they are standing in a design studio, our rule across St. Charles County is to budget 25% to 50% above the base before you call it a number.
Spend on structure first, cosmetics later. Ceiling heights, a garage bump-out, an extra bedroom, lower-level rough-ins. Those cannot be retrofitted without tearing something out. Countertops, flooring and light fixtures can wait until you have moved in, and they are the first place to find money when the total climbs.
| Home type | Layout | Who tends to pick it |
|---|---|---|
| Ranch | Single level | Everything on one floor, which is the plan people wait for out here. |
| 1.5-story | Main-floor owner suite | The compromise plan: sleep downstairs, put everyone else up. |
| 2-story | Most bedrooms upstairs | The most house per dollar of the three. |
Consort does not publish a price per plan for this community, so this table deliberately carries no prices rather than columns of blanks. Ask us and we will get you the current plan-by-plan numbers.

Want to Know What Is Left?
What Is Next to It
Every source on this development describes the location as convenient. That is true, and it is only half of what the photographs show.

A divided highway runs along one edge of the site. That is the same road that makes the location as accessible as everyone says it is, and it is the reason you can be on I-64 or Highway 364 quickly from here. Both things are true at once.
What it means for you depends entirely on which homesite you take, how far back it sits and which way the house faces. Some lots in a community like this are genuinely unaffected. Others are not. This is not something a brochure can answer and it is not something we would answer for you from a desk: go and stand on the lot, at the time of day you would actually be home.
We mention it because nobody else does. Consort's page, the Cedarstone microsite and the earlier version of this article all describe the road only as access.
Dardenne Prairie Around It
This is the genuinely strong part of the pitch, and it is all within a few minutes.

Barathaven Park adds trails, a lake, soccer fields and a cricket pitch. City Hall Park has a splash pad, an amphitheater and playgrounds. The Shops at Cedarstone, 4.5 acres of retail announced alongside the community, are not open yet as far as we have seen.
Every photograph in this section is Dardenne Prairie rather than Cedarstone itself, and each caption says which. None of them shows a home in this community.
We Work For You.Not the Builder.
The person in the Cedarstone sales office is employed by Consort Homes and represents Consort Homes. That is the job, and it is not a criticism of them.
We represent you. On a community this size the questions that matter are which homesites are actually left, what the road does to the ones nearest it, which school district your address lands in, and which of Consort’s standards are genuinely standard. It costs you nothing to bring us, and we need to be with you on your first visit.
We go through this in more detail in our article on whether you need a realtor when buying new construction.

We find out what is left
A few homesites are left. We find out which ones, so you are not guessing.
We walk the lot with you
Especially the ones nearest the highway. That is a standing-there decision.
We confirm the school district
By address, because in Dardenne Prairie the town does not tell you.
We read the contract
Builder contracts are written by builders. Someone should be reading yours for you.

Getting Around From Here
Dardenne Prairie sits in the middle of everything in St. Charles County, which is most of why people buy here.

I-64/40, Highway 364, Technology Drive and Winghaven Boulevard are the thoroughfares, and Dardenne Town Square is about two minutes away. Downtown St. Louis is roughly 35 minutes outside the worst of the traffic.
Lake St. Louis, O'Fallon, Wentzville, Cottleville and St. Peters are all within a short drive, which in practice means you are never far from a grocery store, a soccer field or a bigger shopping trip.
Questions Buyers Ask Us
How much does a home at Cedarstone cost?
Consort lists the Heritage Collection here from the high $400s, read off their own community page in September 2026. As with any builder, that is a base price rather than a price: the lot premium and the upgrades you will actually want sit on top of it, and our rule of thumb across St. Charles County is to budget 25% to 50% above base. Ask us for the current numbers rather than working from any figure published online, including ours.
Is Cedarstone still selling?
Yes. We checked Consort directly in September 2026: the community is still offered, the sales office is open daily, and there is now a display home you can walk through, which there was not when this community first launched. A few homesites are left. Which ones they are, and what they price at once a plan is specified, moves week to week, so it is worth a phone call rather than an assumption. We are happy to make it.
Which school district serves Cedarstone?
Wentzville R-IV. Dardenne Prairie is split between Fort Zumwalt R-II and Wentzville R-IV, so the town name alone does not answer it here, but Cedarstone sits on the Wentzville R-IV side. Boundaries can change, so confirm the assignment for your specific homesite with the district before you buy.
What is next to the site?
A divided highway runs along one edge of the parcel. You can see it in the August 2024 photographs on this page. That is the flip side of the convenient access everyone advertises, and whether it matters depends entirely on which homesite you take and which way the house faces. It is a walk-the-lot question, not a brochure question.
What is around Cedarstone?
Dardenne Town Square is a couple of minutes away and carries the everyday shopping, restaurants and a cinema. Kinetic Park has the largest outdoor skatepark in Missouri and an indoor climbing wall. Barathaven Park has trails, a lake, soccer fields and a cricket pitch. City Hall Park has a splash pad, an amphitheater and playgrounds. The Shops at Cedarstone, 4.5 acres of retail beside the community, were announced with the development and we have not seen them open yet.
What is the Heritage Collection?
It is Consort’s larger series, running roughly 1,870 to 3,546 square feet across ranch, 1.5-story and 2-story plans. The Braxton is the one people ask about most. Consort specifies these homes fairly heavily as standard rather than holding features back for the upgrade list, which changes where the negotiating room is. We can tell you which of their standards are genuinely standard.
Why do the photographs look so early?
Because they are. Our drone frames of this site are from August 2024, before any homes were built, and we would rather show you a dated photograph than a stock one. Homes and a display home have gone up since. We are due back over it, and this page gets updated when we are.
Do I need my own agent to buy from Consort?
The person in the Cedarstone sales office works for Consort Homes. That is their job and they are good at it, but they are not representing you. We are: reading the contract, comparing homesites, telling you which upgrades hold value, and being there when the total starts moving. It costs you nothing, and the one rule is that we need to be with you on your first visit.
We're on it.
