My Real Estate Journey

Mizzou and the World

At the University of Missouri, I studied international business, and part of that degree was studying, working and living abroad. I traveled through Asia, Europe and South America. The university then hired me to lead a few of its study-abroad programs around the world, which was one of my first and favorite jobs.

International Business Consulting (2015)

After I graduated in 2015, my now-husband and I moved to St. Louis, and we've been here ever since. I started my career in international business consulting, working with private-equity-backed, product-based companies to find cost savings and grow their profitability. It was a perfect job for an international business major, as I was able to travel to India and the rest of Asia to do business globally.

Real estate has always been a part of my life, as I grew up watching my parents invest in and develop real estate, which naturally sparked my own passion for the industry. In 2018 I took a leap of faith, got my license and left corporate America. This was one of the best decisions I ever made, as I found my true calling. I love that no two days, no two clients and no two houses are the same.

Gateway Realty Group Is Born (2020)

After getting licensed, I quickly realized that real estate is a team sport, and I knew I wanted to surround myself with people who shared my passion and work ethic. Not long after, Gateway Realty Group was born. Since then, we've grown into an incredible team of powerhouse agents, a talented marketing team and an amazing transaction coordinator who all play a huge role in the experience we provide our clients. In 2024, we joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Select Properties, which has allowed us to continue growing while providing even more resources for our clients.

I've Lived All Over STL

Since moving to St. Louis, we've experienced everything from city living to suburban life, and my poor husband knows all too well what it means to be married to a Realtor! Today we call Weldon Spring home.

Living in so many parts of St. Louis gave me a perspective I use with every client. A house is more than the four walls you live in. It's the lifestyle that comes with it: the restaurants nearby, the school district, what there is to do and the community around it.

I'm also a foodie, and every great restaurant has that one dish you keep going back for. For me, that's the crispy rice at Napoli Sea in St. Charles, the baba ganoush at YaYa's in Chesterfield and the sea bass at The Tavern in Valley Park. And everyone who knows me knows where I am every morning: Starbucks, my reward for getting the kids out the door and my fuel for the day.

Mizzou and Seeing the World

Studying abroad let me meet so many different people, hear their stories and immerse myself in their culture and cuisine. As a kid, I read about the Great Wall of China in a textbook, so climbing part of it outside Beijing was a big moment for me. Another highlight was New Year's Eve on the coast of Chile, with the biggest, most extravagant fireworks I've ever seen. At Mizzou I was in Kappa Kappa Gamma and the business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi, which is where I met my husband, so that investment definitely paid off.

Family Life

My husband and I got married in 2018, and, fun fact, I'm a twin mom. When I'm not selling real estate, I'm usually on the sidelines cheering our kids on at soccer, basketball, ice skating or Ninja Warrior class. We also love to travel, from beach trips to Destin, Hilton Head and West Palm Beach to cruises through the Caribbean and the Virgin Islands. People think we're a little crazy because we're very outnumbered, but the kids are always counting down the days until the next trip.

Giving Back with Marcy's Project

One of the most meaningful things this team has given us is the chance to give back. A few years ago we came across Marcy's Project, a local nonprofit in St. Charles County, and they've become part of our story. We make a donation after every closing and run drives for hygiene items, hats and gloves, and toys. When they invited us to a local school to hand out the hats and gloves from our drive, seeing how grateful the students were reminded us exactly why we do what we do.
